Anita Kelsey, (born 1963, Mitcham, Surrey, United Kingdom) is a talented English singer, songwriter, and cat behaviorist. Her multifaceted career has spanned various domains, from music to feline psychology. She made her mark on the dance scene in 1997.

She won the UK’s MOBO Award for her debut album on Dorado Records with UK garage musician Sunship. Her single “Try Me Out” from Sunship’s second album became a UK club hit and an anthem in Agia Napa during 2001.

Kelsey collaborated with composer Trevor Jones on the Dark City soundtrack. American actress Jennifer Connelly mimed to Kelsey’s voice in the film, and Kelsey’s rendition of Sway featured in the end credits. Other soundtrack projects include “Bring Me the Head of Mavis Davis” and “Merlin”.

Her voice has appeared as backup vocals for artists such as Kings of Leon, the Good, the Bad & the Queen, Razorlight, Boy George and the Spice Girls, as the featured vocalist on big screen productions such as Dark City, and more recently as singer and songwriter for a series of successful dance projects.

Since 2009 Kelsey has worked as a cat behavior consultant. She is London’s only accredited cat behaviorist, having studied feline psychology and behavior under renowned expert Roger Tabor.
