Lyrics.
Haunt me in my dreams
If you please
Your breath
Is with me now and always
It’s like a breeze
So should you ever doubt me
If it’s help that you need
Never dare to doubt me
And if you want to sleep
I’ll be quiet
Like an angel
As quiet as your soul could be
If you only knew
You had a friend like me
So should you ever doubt me
If it’s help that you need
Never dare to doubt me
Info Helen Folasade Adu born January 16, 1959, in Ibadan, Nigeria, and brought up partly in Essex, England, known professionally as Sade Adu or simply Sade. Sade is a Nigerian-born British Singer, known as the lead singer of her eponymous band. Sade developed several interests as a teen, including singing, fashion design and modeling. One of the most successful British female artists in history, she is often recognised as an influence on contemporary music. She sang with a few local bands before signing with Epic Records and recording her first album, Diamond Life, in 1984. A huge hit in her native England, the album also had mass appeal across the pond thanks to such singles as "Smooth Operator." In 1986, she won a Grammy Award for Best New Artist. Her success in the music industry was recognised in the UK with an award of the Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2002, and was made Commander in the 2017 Birthday Honours.

Vocalist 🎤: Sade Album: "Stronger Than Pride" Released: April 5, 1988 Genres: Soul, Jazz, Rhythm and Blues, Pop, Funk, Soft Jazz ‘Haunt Me’ The lyrics are very short and simple: Sade is informing a beloved person about her utmost devotion. She explicitly tells said person that she’s reliable and trustworthy, and she’s so caught up that she wants this person to “haunt [her] in [her] dreams.” Stuart Matthewman, one of the members of her group, provides the instrumental, and the acoustic guitar playing throughout the song will remind you of a summer breeze — dense and full of longing. — Morgan Jerkins, senior editor
