Goran Karan is a Croatian singer-songwriter, born on April 2, 1964, in Belgrade, Serbia. He is known for his powerful and refined tenor voice and specializes in songs influenced by Dalmatian folk music.
Karan began his music career in the 1980s with various bands, including Epicentar, Zippo, Deveti Krug, Big Blue, and Crna Udovica.
He transitioned to a solo career in 1997. In 2000, he represented Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Kad zaspu anđeli” (“When Angels Fall Asleep”), finishing in ninth place.
Throughout his career, Karan has released several successful albums, such as “Kao da te ne volim” (1999), “Vagabundo” (2000) with the beautiful romantic ballad “Stay With Me”, and “Dite Ljubavi” (2008).
Goran Karan has also won numerous awards at various music festivals.
